My girlfriend and I decided to take a trip to the wine capital of the world in April.  We only had a couple of days and wanted to see (and taste) as much of the region as possible.  The owner of the bed and breakfast recommended Your Personal Guide for a wine tour of Piedmont.  What we recieved was so much more.   With expertise and enthusiasm, Ornella showed us the best the area had to offer.  In one day we had VIP tours of some of the region's best wineries, explored numerous small towns, visited an incredible enoteca and ate some of the best food in the world.  Ornella's attention to detail and personal touch make her a great tour guide - she is someone who cares.  Ornella made our trip an unforgettable experience.

When I taste a fine wine I want a sense of "place" from that wine.  I want to know not only how it tastes, but why it tastes the way it does and how it got to be that way.
For me, the same is true for when I visit a new part of the world.  I want to see not only what is there but to experience it through conversation with people who spend their time there, who have helped shape that place.
Ornella, on a recent visit to Piedmont, conveyed all of that.  Through her, we met people who made wine and were able to sample it in their cellars, we visited sites that have contributed to the history of Italy and we, of course, ate in great restaurants that exemplified the great things about Italy. Since event planning is my job, the last thing I wanted to do on vacation was to make all the arrangements.  Luckily, Your Personal Guide took care of everything - providing transportation, private tastings at the best wineries, tours of the towns, reservations at the  finest restaurants (reasonably priced where the locals go for quality food) - all the while providing expert commentary on wine and the region as only a local can.  We saw and learned more about Piedmont than we ever would have on our own and instantly felt like Ornella was an old friend.  Ornella's assistance was worth every penny and her fee was suprisingly affordable. We will definitely plan another trip and wouldn't think about going to Piedmont without calling Ornella.
